On Saturday, May 18th we will visit the Phillips Library of the Peabody Essex Museum. Dan Lipcan, the Ann C. Pingree Director of the Library, will welcome Ticknor Society members for a special tour of the library and its digitization lab, including a behind-the-scenes peek into an object storage room. The visit will end with a display of some of the library’s treasures and recent acquisitions specifically curated for the Society. Our thanks to Dan for organizing what will be a rare opportunity to explore one of the great libraries in the region.
The Phillips Library is located in Rowley, about 15 miles north of Salem. Attendance on the tour is limited, so please sign up early by sending us a brief email.
